Well the Holidays have finally wrapped up here at dp.com. I know, I left the hottie Santa up much longer than usual. If you are still experiencing Christmas please

and you should be good to go.
So with the end of New Year's I finally got a decent break from work. A 4 day weekend! Richard was home New Year's Day and so we did a "mini" New Years Eve. Chinese food, champagne, a movie, and a kiss. Awwww! It was nice. We saw Up. It was adorable and I teared up twice. If you haven't seen it and are in the mood for something fun, get it. On Saturday we had my little Post Holiday party. It was a "toast to your survival" theme. We got lots of bubbley and we encouraged the guests to bring a nibble to share. We ended up enjoying some great snacks! My friends rock yo. It turned out to be an interesting mix of people but all seemed to get along and I think everyone had a good time.
The next day found Richard and I a bit over-hung as it were (champagne is mean like that). We figured a greasy yummy brunch was just what we needed. Off to Urban MO's! The food was good the atmosphere better. We ended up staying right thru the end of the Charger Game! I swear it was one of my butchest moments, watching the game with the boys... LOL Later we went out AGAIN and had a boozy time at the Bar Named After a Body Part (as I call it) with a good friend of ours.
Too much fun. Today was errands and stuff so that tomorrow, our last day off, will be restful. Well, right after we go to the gym anyway... THAT is one thing I have't done enough this week. I don't wanna have to make a resolution or anything about it!

I love LOVE this video. I had forgotten about it. I have to say, you can Ba ra ra ro ma me all you want... but this video is genius. Without the Cave-woman chanting. Not that I don't love some Gaga, but Madonna is my girl.
So clearly tho, with this type of Madonna playing non-stop, I must be in a mood. Yup. Correct. I am.
I am alone on New Year's Eve. Kill me now. Kidding. Kinda. But srsly, after 12 consistant New Years together you'd think it was an important tradition. Which, SIGH, it is... I just couldn't get the time off for the Big Vegas New Year Celebration and Birthday Bash. Not my birthday, but a member of our San Diego Family. But I knew it was important and really didn't have any say. Richard would be in Vegas this New Year. I was calm, supportive, all the things I should be. But now I am miserable. Alone. On one of our favorite holidays (marks the actual END of holiday shopping season...). I had no champagne. I had no Chinese food. I get no kiss.
This facking blows. More depressing videos time...

Whoa. I cannot believe another Christmas is past. Amazing. The year flew by, didn't it? This has got to be the best holiday season since we moved to San Diego. First of all, my new Store Manager let us managers have our 2 days off per week! Usually we got only one. Of course we worked every weekend, but our days off we together when possible. So for the first 3 weeks I was off Monday and Tuesday! Soooo nice. It was like a weekend off. So for the entire month I didn't get that overwhelming exhaustion. Sure I got tired. I am tired. It is a crazy time! But I am not *exhausted*. There's a difference.
Christmas eve was a failure. We didn't really plan for ourselves and the house wasn't stocked, cleaned, or ready for us to have a "relaxing holiday". It was chaotic and annoying. All things that could go wrong did, right down to the cat knocking my dinner onto the floor. We did watch Julie & Julia though. And that was a good movie, so I guess that's the silver lining. Christmas itself was a total win. We slept in late, "irished up" our coffee, did some chores around the house, and then got dressed and headed out the door. Our neighbors happened to be outside about to ring our bell to drop off cookies!! Awesome having friendly-normal neighbors! After a brief chat we parted ways. We were off to C Level (my idea!) for a relaxing cocktail and amazing views. It was such a clear beautiful day, and the folks working there al!
l in festive moods. It was nice. After that we were off to Sheila's for a bacon feast! She had a turkey-ham thing, twice baked potatos (with bacon, bacon cream dip, bacon wrapped chick and dates, and more... Not to mention the amazing Dessert Table. After we all had eaten our fill the 8 of us there headed into the living room to play games. I am not sure what the first one was, but we also played Taboo. I love Taboo. It is always a laugh riot! We topped off the holiday with a trip out to the Gayborhood to meet up with some of our favorite local tweets on Twitter. So much fun! I even went to a bar named after a body part. Which was a big deal for me. It was a place that always made me say "ew". Well, now I've been, and I didn't die. It was a good time actually!
Anyhoo, that's my holday. Now time to get ready to go back to work. One more week of crazy to go!

What are you most excited about in 2010?

How will you be ringing in the New Year?
Who did you meet this year who had a big impact on your life? Did you reconnect with any old friends? Who was there for you through it all?
What was the worst thing that happened to you in 2009? The best?
